If God is omnipotent, why does He let good people fall into sin? | Youth Day Q&A

If God is omnipotent, why does He let good people fall into sin?

When confronted with this question, we often turn to “free will” as the answer. But do we really know what that ‘sin’ and ‘free will’ mean?

God does not let us miss the mark, we do so out of our own weakness!

Listen along as Mina expresses the concept of sin to have derived from the Greek word ‘Hamartia’, meaning to “miss the mark”. Mina cleverly points out that yes- the answer is free will. But because if individuals were not free, we would not be given the opportunity to freely choose God, and what a great loss that would be! Nevertheless, when we fall, God readily accepts those who are weak and truly repentant.
