The first volume in the series is the life of Saint Severus and great hero of faith from the 6^th century. He is well known for defending the view of the none-Chalcedonian churches, which explains the polemical nature of his biography.

Saint Severus has been greatly misunderstood for centuries yet today his writings are considered to be the link in the dialogue between the Chalcedonian and the non-Chalcedonian Churches.
