St Abanoub Kids Book

St Abanoub Kids Book by Radmila Veskova, illustrated by Lidia Abdalla, tells the story of the young boy saint whose big faith shows children that even the youngest heart can belong fully to Christ.

"From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise" (Matthew 21:16). We often think only adults have the spiritual maturity to become saints, but St Abanoub shows how even the youngest hearts can beat for Christ, ready to proclaim their faith, oppose idolatry and stand up for what is right.

St Abanoub is a beloved saint and faithful intercessor for many. Though he was just a little boy, his faith was big and he was a great witness. His story teaches that it is not age but love for God that matters. As our Lord said, "Let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14).

Many children today face direct opposition to their faith, which can be confusing. Stories of the boys and girls who came before them, and faced the same and worse, help them know they are not alone and that they have friends in heaven to ask for help. St Abanoub was an ordinary boy with an extraordinary faith, who overcame fear in all his trials and shows that even the youngest can be little apostles of Christ.
