Lives of Saints

The lives of the saints show us what the Gospel looks like when it is lived. This collection brings together biographies of the saints of the Coptic Orthodox Church and the wider Christian tradition. It covers the Desert Fathers and great monastic founders such as St Anthony, St Shenouda and St Pachomius, martyrs such as St George, St Victor and St Demiana, and saints of our own time such as Elder Mettaous and Tamav Kereya. Many titles are translated from ancient Coptic, Syriac and Arabic sources. Others are retold for young readers.
